Our close encounter...

There are two students in my class that are studying about the life cycle about chickens. So we had a close encounter with a Silkie chicken and an Australorp chick, they were eating, tweeting, hopping, and chirping away. We learned the life cycle of a chick. It starts of as a egg, then a chick, and then a chicken. It takes 21 days to hatch. Later on we got to pat the chick, it was soft and silky.

My name is Megan, and I will be one of the people blogging with you this summer for the Summer Learning Journey.

What a fun experiment watching a lifecycle of a chicken. I really enjoyed reading how it takes 21 days to hatch an egg. Did the chick stay in your class room for a while?
